The council meeting on August 12th, was the best thing since sliced bread! This new council has courage and guts in spades! Let me rephrase that, at least four of them do and I do not envy any of them! This meeting was hard work with some friendships on the line, legacy appointments being tested and examined and oh so much more. At the heart of this meeting were two very important issues for our city. The 1st, who will be running our animal shelter and the 2nd, who will be on our planning commission. So much was at stake for so many and the drama was palpable. The tension at times, you could cut with a knife. It was the best of times and the worst of times, all at the same time. Tears were shed by some and then moments later, others received standing ovation. All in all, we got to see exactly what this new city council is made of and who, is willing to put their money where their mouth is. It was a night that will be hard to forget and I think the witnesses, will remember it forever.

As we approach the next Upland City Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th, which starts at 7:00 PM at 406 N Euclid Ave in Downtown, Upland, there is so much you need to know. If you have any interest in keeping 5G cellphone antennas from being installed on every street light in your neighborhood and only 20 feet from your bedroom windows, please keep reading. In fact, reading may no longer be good enough because at this next Upland City Council Meeting on 5/28, if the residents of Upland don’t show up and demand that our Upland City Council Members protect us, then our unscrupulous city attorney is going to talk them into signing a new law that gives away every single bit of power they have and that we have, to protect ourselves and our private property rights. Also in this report, if you think millionaires should NOT be awarded free HUD Grant Money by the City of Upland, which is earmarked for slum elimination in Downtown Upland, which is used to renovate properties for FREE, then keep reading. As the NEW Upland City Council just agreed with you and did some truly amazing things about it. The fact is, 70% of all HUD Grant Money that Upland receives is earmarked to assist low income individuals, as well as, earmarked to create job opportunities, for low income individuals. On March 26, 2018, our insane former city council voted three to one, to sell 4.63 acres of Memorial Park to San Antonio Hospital for $4,200,000.00. Those voting in favor were Mayor Debbie Stone, Mayor Pro Tem Carol Timm and Councilmen Gino Filippi. Opposing the sale was Councilmember Janice Elliott. Councilmen Sid Robinson was on vacation and did NOT vote but he also supported the sale of 12% of Memorial Park. Since then on November 6th, 2018, both Carol Timm and Gino Filippi lost their re-election bids and were replaced on city council by Rudy Zuniga and Ricky Felix. Sid Robinson had been appointed to city council after Janice Elliott beat him in the 2016 election. Sid had a two year appointment which expired at the end of 2018 and he did NOT run for city council in 2018. So Sid walked off the dais on December 10th, 2018, along with Carol Timm and Gino Filippi but NOT before, crowning Jeanette Vagnozzi’s as Upland’s next failed City Manager! Will This Lead To Upland & The Hospital Terminating Their Existing Purchase Agreement?”
Our City Manager Jeannette Vagnozzi has failed to protect and inform the public! Vagnozzi has failed to protect Upland’s private and public property rights. Vagnozzi has failed to protect Upland home-owners. Vagnozzi has failed to protect Upland tax-payers! Vagnozzi has failed to protect Upland’s right-of-ways! Vanozzi failed to inform our city council members and our planning commissioners, that all 5G light-pole and utility-pole cellphone antenna permitting, is being done through our Public Works Department, ONLY! THAT MEANS NO PUBLIC HEARINGS! NO PUBLIC NOTIFICATION! NO DUE PROCESS! NO PLANNING BOARD APPROVAL! NO REQUIRED ZONING SET-BACKS! NO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT! NO TRANSPARENCY AND ALLOWS CELLPHONE ANTENNAS TO BE INSTALLED 25 FEET AWAY FROM RESIDENTIAL HOMES, IN EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD IN UPLAND! Why is she still gainfully employed here making $311,000 in total annual compensation from Upland’s tax-payers, so she can go home and spend it in La Verne! Hopefully her employment is about to come to a screeching halt on or around April 29th, 2019! Please SIGN OUR PETITION to demand our city council adopt an urgency ordinance to STOP the current 5G permitting practice.

-The answer could very well be yes!!!!! Former Councilmen Glenn Bozar explains in his letter to the editor that, “The property owners of San Antonio Heights and Upland have won a major victory with Judge Cohn’s Statement of Decision regarding the County’s illegal annexation scheme. The Judge stated, “Thus, the geographic expansion of the service zones within the District by San Bernardino LAFCO was simply beyond its statutory authority. By doing so, San Bernardino committed a prejudicial abuse of its discretion. He further states, “That aspect of the annexation is therefore void, and the tax was improperly imposed on taxpayers within the newly annexed territory….the tax must be enjoined.” Read how the City of Upland and SB County violated property owners their State Constitutional RIGHT TO VOTE ON TAXES, in this special edition Letter To Editor, smoking hot Upland Report.
